Game day packing list

What to bring to the field.

A rec game next to the parking lot does not need a wagon and a canopy. A tournament weekend across four fields usually does. Start with the player bag, add a small family kit, then layer on the extras only when the day is going to be long.

The dugout

Player bag

This is the bag that goes to the bench. Ask the league what it already supplies before you buy a helmet, bat, or catcher's gear.

The sideline

Family kit for a local game

This is the pile that stays with you, not in the dugout. For a weeknight rec game, keep it small.

The long day

Add these for tournaments

A tournament complex is not a rec field next to the lot. Parking is farther, games stack up, and the forecast will be wrong. Add what the day actually requires.
